The Land Warfare Centre is based on Imber Road in Warminster, in Wiltshire. ==History== The Land Warfare Centre has its origins in the Battle School established at Barnard Castle in County Durham in 1941: it moved to Warminster in 1945 and was known as the School of Infantry until it was renamed the Land Warfare Centre in 1988.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Land Warfare Centre )〕 All officers who are about to command a unit are required to attend training at the Land Warfare Centre prior to taking up their appointment. The site is also home to Headquarters Small Arms School Corps, who moved to the barracks from Hythe in 1969,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Corps Day 19 September )〕 and Headquarters Infantry, which was formed in 1996 and is responsible for the recruiting, manning and training policy of the Infantry.
